- Transition the nation’s transit fleet to the lowest polluting and most energy efficient transit vehicles
- Grant Applications due by 4/13/23

EPA EJ Collaborative Problem-Solving (EJCPS) Cooperative Agreement Program
|
|
- Projects that address environmental and public health issues within an affected community;
- Assist recipients building partnerships to address environmental and public health concerns;
- $25,000,000 for up to 50 awards to Community Based Organizations (CBOs) proposing projects for up to $500,000 each.
- $5,000,000 for up to 33 awards to qualifying small CBOs with 5 or fewer full-time employees proposing projects for up to $150,000 each;
- Applications due April 10.

EPA Environmental Justice Government-to-Government (EJG2G) Program
|
|
- Projects that transform under-served communities into healthy, thriving communities;
- Funding for governmental and tribal entities;
- Support activities that lead to measurable environmental or public health results in disproportionately burdened communities;
- $20,000,000 for up to 20 awards for States partnering with Community Based Organizations (CBOs);
- $20,000,000 for up to 20 awards for tribal governments partnering with CBOs;
- $20,000,000 for up to 20 awards for local governments partnering with CBOs;
- $10,000,000 for up to 10 awards for U.S. Territories, Freely Associated States, Puerto Rico, and tribes in remote areas;

- $9 million in grant funds for development and deployment of easy-to-use charging products which help customers manage electric vehicle (EV) charging and respond to dynamic grid signals.
- Up to $300 million in additional grant funds may be available in the future to complete a second phase of work for agreements initially awarded funding under this solicitation.
- Products may include but are not limited to charging network software, vehicle software, unidirectional EVSE, bidirectional EVSE, aggregator products.
- Eligible applicants:
- Electric vehicle service providers (EVSPs) and charging network companies
- Electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) manufacturers

SRECT has partnered with the Pasha Group to fund their commitment to renewable energy and zero-emission vehicles and equipment. The Pasha Group is, a major marine logistics company operating ocean transport for containerized and break bulk cargo, port rolling stock and cargo handling equipment and truck fleets.

Targray has opened bulk fuel terminals in Portland and Eugene Oregon where fuel distributors can load Renewable Diesel (RD) for delivery to fleets or retail sale locations.

JCB's Hydrogen Combustion Engine Matches Diesel in HP and Torque
|
|
Construction equipment company JCB is ready to begin marketing their hydrogen combustion engine after two years of technical development. Because of the lower combustion temperature, lean air/fuel ratio and zero carbon in the fuel, criteria emissions are close to zero and GHG emissions are zero.

EV Recalls Cause EV Owner Dissatisfaction

A JD Powers survey of EV owners shows that EV owners are more dissatisfied with vehicle dealerships than ICE owners due to a greater number of recalls on EVs than on ICE vehicles.

Lightship EV Travel Trailer
|
|
The Lightship Travel Trailer won’t reduce the range of your EV because the trailer has an electrically powered drive axle and comes with an 80kWh battery pack that also powers the trailer’s appliances. The trailer also comes equipped with a solar panels. Production on the $125K trailer is scheduled to begin in 2024.

United Airlines has made a $5M investment in Viridos, a company that is developing Sustainable Aviation Fuel using algae, along with used cooking oil and agricultural waste.
