3/25 - Learn About Propane at the State Capitol
  • Propane is 40% less expensive than gasoline or diesel, and has the lowest cost on-site infrastructure of any vehicle fuel. Learn more about Class 3 - 7 trucks and buses now available with engines certified to the lowest emission levels and running on renewable propane from 10am - 2pm on the West Steps of the State Capitol Building.

4/13 - Green Technology Summit and Expo
  • The 2020 Green Technology Summit and Expo will be held in the Tacoma Convention Center on April 13 – 15. Sac Clean Cities Coalition Stakeholders qualify for a registration discount if they use SACCC30. This year’s event will be combined with the US EPA’s West Coast Collaborative Partner’s Meeting, and will include fleet focused sessions on recruiting, training and keeping technicians, regulatory policies, renewable fuels including renewable hydrogen, and the future of mobility. A tour of the REG biodiesel plant is also included.

EV Sales Remain Steady
Sales of EVs remained steady 2019 while sales of PHEVs declined. In total, EVs and PHEVs amounted to 2% of the 17 million vehicles sold in 2019.

The City of Los Angeles has mad a commitment to transition its entire refuse truck fleet to electric by 2035.

Vehicle Production States
The United States produced about 11 million vehicles in 2018. Michigan produced nearly 19% of those, followed by Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio, which each produced over 10%. While those four states accounted for just over half (52.6%) of all vehicle production, the remainder was produced by 10 other states, mostly in the Southeast or Midwest. California was the only western state to produce vehicles and accounted for 2.3% of total production.
