Motiv Delivers Nine Heavy Duty EVs To CRP
|

Motiv Power Systems
, a Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition sponsor, has delivered nine heavy-duty EVs to the Community Resource Project in Sacramento. The trucks will be used to provide home energy audits, weatherization and HVAC services to low-income residents in Sacramento.

Nissan
, a Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition sponsor is planning to introduce their Ariya Crossover EV in 2022, with a 300 mile range. The Ariya will be a “clean sheet” EV using Nissan’s global modular platform, and will offer power ranging from 215hp to 389hp.

Nissan Moving To CCS Connectors
|
|
Nissan
has also decided to move away from CHAdeMO to CCS connectors in their US models, starting with the Ariya crossover. While at present there are more CHAdeMO DCFC chargers, there are 1,000 more CCS PORTS in the US today, and many of them are at much higher power levels.

BMW Level 3 Autonomous Driving

BMW is planning to introduce their iNext SUV EV in 2021. The iNext will offer Level 3 autonomous driving and phenomenal performance and efficiency: 530hp, 0-60 in under 4 seconds and a 400 mile range.

Lucid Motors Global Reveal

Lucid Motors has announced that they will host their long-awaited “Global Reveal,” with information about production plans and product availability on September 9, 2020.

General Motors will introduce their electric pickup truck, planned to have over 400 miles of range, in 2023, when they will announce a total of 20 electric cars. All the models appear to share a standard platform and many components.

California Energy Commission Renewable Energy Progress
|
|
The California Energy Commission has released a report indicating that 36% of the retail sale of electricity in California in 2019 came from solar and wind. When hydro and nuclear are added, the total non-carbon electricity supplied in California in 2019 is over 66%.
|

For the week ending 7/10/20, refineries in California produced 276,906 gallons of gasoline and 82,656 gallons of diesel. Gasoline production is essentially unchanged, while diesel production is up just under 7% from last week.
