PG&E has announced a major study/pilot program analyzing hydrogen distribution and blending in natural gas pipeline distribution systems. The pilot will include using a hydrogen/natural gas blend in a turbine power generator at their Lodi Power Center. PG&E is contemplating this facility being the centerpiece for a potential NorCal hydrogen hub.

Statevolt Building $4B Lithium Production Facility in California
|
|
Statevolt has announced that they will build a $4B facility in the Imperial Valley to produce lithium and generate electricity. Geothermal heat will boil lithium-rich brine. The “steam” from the brine will drive a turbine generating 140MW of electricity for the grid, and the condensed brine will be processed to produce 34,000 tons per year of lithium carbonate.
