Sacramento Clean Fuel Technology Workshop
1/23 - Renewable Gas 360
  • The Renewable Gas 360 (formerly Rethink Methane) conference will be held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento. Topics will include building markets for dead trees to reduce wildfire risk, building markets for renewable hydrogen, reducing short-lived climate pollutants, managing overburdened landfills and methane capture.

4/13 - Green Technology Summit and Expo
  • The 2020 Green Technology Summit and Expo will be held in the Tacoma Convention Center on April 13 – 15. This year’s event will be combined with the US EPA’s West Coast Collaborative Partner’s Meeting, and will include fleet focused sessions on technician training, regulatory policies, vehicle, engine and fuel technology developments, and the future of mobility.

Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition sponsor Nissan is showing off their new EV, an SUV concept car. The "Ariya" will debut in 2021 with dual motors and all-wheel drive.

Alternative Fuel Insight
Humvee EV To Debut
GM is bringing back the Humvee as an EV in 202, and the debut is scheduled to be at the Super Bowl when Lebron James will be driving. The Humvee EV will have some tough competition as it competes against the Ford F150 EV, the Rivian EV and the Tesla Cybertruck EV.

Mack Fully Electric Refuse Truck
Mack has introduced a fully electric rear loader refuse truck in New York City, the LR Electric. Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition sponsors Lion and Transpower, along with Mack and BYD, will be participating in a January workshop to present their battery-electric refuse truck plans to Sacramento Region fleet operators.

Sony Sensor Systems
Sony surprised the world at the Las Vegas CES by introducing an electric vehicle, the "Vision-S" concept car. Sony used this concept car as a platform to reveal their automotive sensor systems that would allow vehicles using their systems to be upgraded to Level 4 Autonomous Driving. The systems include 12 cameras, three solid-state lidar sensors, 20 radar and ultrasonic sensors.

A Samsung sound system by Harmon claims to reduce power requirements sufficiently to add range to EVs. Bose has made a similar claim.
