Another Side of Climate Change from International Economist Bjorn Lomborg

|
- The annual number of hurricanes that make landfall in the U.S. since 1900 is slightly declining, not increasing.
- Total hurricane energy worldwide between 1980 and 2022 is decreasing, with 2022 being the second lowest in recorded history.
- Satellite data shows a dramatic decline over the past 25 years in global wildfires.
- Every dollar the EU spent on climate has led to a reduction of three cents in worldwide climate-caused damage (i.e. damage from floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, heat waves, etc.). Humans would have benefited more by spending those funds on directly improving people’s lives.
