3/25 - Learn About Propane at the State Capitol
- Propane is 40% less expensive than gasoline or diesel, and has the lowest cost on-site infrastructure of any vehicle fuel. Learn more about Class 3 - 7 trucks and buses now available with engines certified to the lowest emission levels and running on renewable propane from 10am - 2pm on the West Steps of the State Capitol Building.

4/13 - Green Technology Summit and Expo
- The 2020 Green Technology Summit and Expo will be held in the Tacoma Convention Center on April 13 – 15. Sac Clean Cities Coalition Stakeholders qualify for a registration discount if they use SACCC30. This year’s event will be combined with the US EPA’s West Coast Collaborative Partner’s Meeting, and will include fleet focused sessions on recruiting, training and keeping technicians, regulatory policies, renewable fuels including renewable hydrogen, and the future of mobility. A tour of the REG biodiesel plant is also included.

Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition sponsor Freewire presented the Mobi at the 2/18/20 Lunch & Learn PEV Collaborative, co-sponsored by Sacramento Clean Cities. The Mobi is a portable and very versatile technology that can charge EV cars, trucks (even electric bikes and scooters) and function as a silent backup generator for events or emergencies.

ChargePoint, one of the largest electric vehicle charging networks has announced a collaboration with the National Association of Truck Stop Owners to deploy over 4,000 chargers at truck plazas across the US using a $1 billion capitalization to match other grant funding opportunities.

Heavy Duty Hydrogen Engine

Plug Power, a major supplier of fuel cells for e-mobility applications, has announced their “ProGen” zero-emission drivetrain with a 125kW fuel cell drivetrain for Class 6, 7 and 8 trucks, transit buses and large off-road equipment. Plug Power launched their smaller 30kW ProGen drivetrain for Class 3, 4 and 5 vehicles and smaller off-road equipment in 2019.

Jaguar has joined the “EV Platform” manufacturing approach, not with a sleek sedan or a rugged Land Rover, but with what they call a “Box on wheels” that can be configured as a delivery vehicle or a ride-sharing vehicle and will be autonomous-ready.
