Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition will do our part by continuing to provide information and partnerships using virtual meetings and digital communications.
Sacramento Clean Fuel Technology Workshop
8/24- The 2020 Green Technology Summit and Expo
  • has been rescheduled to August 24-26 due to coronavirus.
  • Originally scheduled for April 13 – 15.
  • Sac Clean Cities Coalition Stakeholders qualify for a registration discount if they use SACCC30. This year’s event will be combined with the US EPA’s West Coast Collaborative Partner’s Meeting, and will include fleet focused sessions on recruiting, training and keeping technicians, regulatory policies, renewable fuels including renewable hydrogen, and the future of mobility.

Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition Sponsors Making the News!
US Gain Anaerobic Digester
US GAIN, a Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition sponsor and major supplier of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) in California and around the United States has recently completed an anaerobic digester project at a major dairy in Wisconsin. US GAIN supplies RNG to over 35 sites in California today with additional sites being added.

Motiv Reaches One Million Miles
Motiv Electric, a Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition sponsor, has hit one million miles of all-electric operation on their lineup of regional delivery vehicles. The miles will increase even more quickly as they work through their backlog of committed orders from fleets, now in triple digits, with more than half being repeat orders from existing customers.

Lightning Systems Upgrades Facilities
Lightning Systems, a Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition sponsor, has upgraded their manufacturing facilities in Colorado, while continuing to build a wide range of electric trucks and buses including the a 30-foot Gillig transit bus, a 45-foot motorcoach, an E450 Shuttle bus, their Class 6 GM 6500 and many more.

Geotab, a Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition sponsor, has introduced the “Green Fleet Dashboard” into their telematics data support, helping fleet managers monitor a fleet’s efforts to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions.

Causeway Connection
Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition partner Sacramento Regional Transit and Yolo County Transit jointly operate the zero-emission “Causeway Connection” bus service between Davis and Sacramento. The service uses 12 full-sized Proterra battery-electric transit buses equipped with bike racks, USB chargers at every seat and free wifi..The Causeway Connection service will be modifying the schedule on May 4 due to the impacts of the Covid19 virus.

Airspeeders Delayed By Covid
The racing series “Airspeeders” featuring sleek single-seat, all-electric vertical takeoff “Speeders” with a top speed of 124mph was delayed due to the Covid19 pandemic, but will be taking place before the end of 2020.

GM Bolts Recall
General Motors is recalling some 2019 and 2020 Bolts due to a problem with the rear door latch. A connecting cable is too long and can become damaged and malfunction, allowing the door to open while driving.

Sacramento is one of three California cities that is piloting chargers for electric vehicles along streets, creating an additional strategy for charging.

Refineries Report
For the week ending 4/10/20, refineries in California produced 188,160 gallons of gasoline and 128,066 gallons of diesel. This represents a decrease in gasoline production of 7% but an increase in diesel production of 27%.
