Final Tax Bills

Final tax bills for 2024 have been calculated and sent out. These tax bills will have two installment dates: Thursday, August 29, 2024, and Thursday, October 29, 2024.


The 2024 final tax bill has been calculated from the 2024 budget.

GrandPals at the Library

The Meaford Public Library, in partnership with the Municipality of Meaford, is excited to announce the launch of the GrandPals at the Library program and is actively seeking older adults (55+) volunteers to join this initiative. We invite community members to become GrandPals and make a difference in the lives of local youth (ages 9-11).

 

The application deadline is August 30, 2024.

Closure Notice

Please note that the Municipal Office (21 Trowbridge Street West) will be closed on Monday September 2, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the Labour Day Holiday.

Due to the Statutory Holiday, garbage, and recycling collection for the week of September 1 to September 7, 2024, will happen the day after your usual collection date.

The Meaford Bread Wagon "Rises" Again!

In honour of the town of Meaford’s 150th year, the historic Meaford City Bakery Wagon, first driven by Norman Wells in 1925 has been beautifully restored.


The hard work and attention to detail of Gregor Black from Bognor is greatly appreciated. This cherished piece of Meaford's heritage is now proudly displayed by the main steps of Meaford Hall.


Special thanks to Susan Taylor and Liz Harris for their inspired discovery of the wagon, enriching our town's connection to its past with stories and photos.

The Recreation Department is hosting the 2nd annual Picklefest pickleball tournament this August.


The tournament includes coed matches in the morning and separate men's and women's matches in the afternoon.

Wednesday's from September 4 to October 2 at 10:00 a.m.

Interested in a slo-pitch baseball league during the day in fall?


The Municipality's Recreation Department is looking to form four teams, each participating in a total of five games throughout September. The schedule includes three round-robin games and two playoff games.
