This Week in Worship
This week in worship we continue our Faith over Fear Series with a message entitled "A Different Kind of Hero" based on Hebrews 11:29 - 12:2. In this passage, the writer of Hebrews lifts up what Dr. Thomas Long calls a roll call of faith as he thumbs through the pages of Scripture citing examples of faithful living. Take a look at this passage, do you recognize these names? Some such as David and Samuel are instantly recognizable, others are not even named at all. My question is, "Would I make the list?" How about you? Is the reason some are unnamed so we can locate ourselves in this roll call? I look forward to continuing this conversation as we gather for worship at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. this Sunday.
