at Conference
Dr. John Newcomer discussed managing specialty populations at a meeting this month organized by the Open Minds organization.

The OPEN MINDS Management Institute is an annual meeting spanning over 20 years, focused on performance management tools needed for innovation in a complex market.


"You're not only connecting individuals in your network to a single provider, but connecting across the community to services including housing, substance use, mental health treatment and primary care services," Dr. Newcomer told the group.

mental health population selected for "February Choice" by journal
A study by Dr. Newcomer and colleagues on cervical cancer screening rates in the mental health population was selected by Psychiatric Services as a "Choice" article.

Proctor Publishes Poem on Addiction
Steven L. Proctor, Ph.D., Senior Health Outcomes Advisor for Thriving Mind, published a poem on opioid addiction in the journal Academic Psychiatry.

We work to enhance mental health care in our counties by ensuring direct access to exceptional treatment providers and services.
