The City of El Paso’s Economic and International Development team, in collaboration with Evertrust Partners, recently hosted the Business in El Paso 101 Workshop, a dynamic session designed to help businesses in Chihuahua, Mexico, expand into El Paso.
Led by Adriana Pulecio, International Business & Trade Development Manager, the workshop provided key insights into resources, opportunities, and strategies for successful cross-border expansion.
The event featured a diverse lineup of speakers and organizations, each offering valuable expertise:
- Klarissa Mijares, Business Services Coordinator, introduced the Business One Stop Shop (BOSS), guiding attendees through El Paso’s business landscape, funding opportunities, and connections with Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs).
- Pioneers 21 emphasized the importance of pitch development and other essential business fundamentals.
- UTEP’s Hunt Institute for Global Competitiveness demonstrated how businesses can leverage data-driven insights to make informed decisions, identify market opportunities, and strategize for successful expansion.
- The City’s Planning and Inspections Department provided key regulatory information for businesses looking to establish operations in El Paso.
- ETrade Company shared their expansion journey, offering firsthand insights into the challenges and successes of entering the El Paso market.
With over 50 entrepreneurs and industry experts in attendance, the workshop was a tremendous success, reinforcing El Paso’s commitment to economic growth and cross-border collaboration. The enthusiasm from participants highlighted the strong potential for partnerships between El Paso and Chihuahua.
