Faith Through Grace Course

As God teaches in His Word, faith is the “ground floor,” the “substance” of what we believe about the future, and it connects us with the hope of Christ’s return. In the present, faith is what provides us with spiritual confidence and trust in God so that we can buoyantly move forward in life. “The stronger our attachment to Christ through his accomplished work, the stronger is our confidence to be, say and do what God reveals to us.”

The backdrop of this conversation is the timely course titled “Faith Through Grace.” This is an in-person, one-day course that includes vital discussions so that people can ask specific questions and learn how to adopt new thought patterns that acknowledge the accomplished work of Christ. Since each Christian has his own personal journey of faith to make in the context of the family of God, each person will experience “faith through grace” in a unique way.

Faith brings each of us face-to-face with the Master of our souls. Grace is the key that opens access to the faith of Jesus Christ which we all share when we are born again. And the heart of faith is to incorporate it into our relationship with other believers in God’s family. Faith develops an environment where there is no judgment of people or question of their intrinsic value.

God has current solutions for current obstacles we may encounter. It is interesting to realize the answers to current problems are found in age-old truths that bear repeating for all of us. “The crucifixion must live greater in our lives. Death is the ultimate circumstance we can ever face. So, if he (Jesus Christ) conquered death, he (certainly) can help us to navigate all other things.”

Not surprisingly, faith can be taught and modeled. It is recognizable. Likewise, we can grow in grace. This grace gives us direct access to God so that individually we can see what He desires for our lives and, collectively, live it within the body of believers.

The “Faith Through Grace” course is scheduled to run later this spring in Florida, and additional courses will be announced throughout the year. If you are eager to bring this enlightening course to your area, please reach out to Vera O’Neal at vera.oneal@oikeos.org.

What’s New in Unplug & Connect

“God’s Design” is seen throughout all creation. It is also the name of a four-hour workshop offered in various locations this year. It highlights examples of what God originally provided for man centuries ago including wholesome food. God made wheat for man’s physical sustenance and health. Einkorn Wheat is the most primitive grain on earth and was most likely included in “the grass and herb yielding seed” in Genesiss 1:11. Einkorn still grows wild in the Bible lands and is uniquely different from all other wheat varieties in its appearance, taste and nutrition.

Meal preparation and eating together do not need to be a struggle or be based upon a list of what to avoid. God can guide us with His perfect design, or custom fit, for our personal lives in all that we do including the foods we eat. Eating can be a simple, pleasurable time to enjoy day in and day out.

In this hands-on workshop, we will demonstrate God’s design for the foods we eat. Working together with His provisions, we will experience the simplicity in preparation and the joy of breaking bread as did the early Christians in Acts 2:46: “…and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart.”

These presentations currently are scheduled in Colorado, Florida and Montana, with more to follow. If you are interested, please contact Vera O’Neal at vera.oneal@oikeos.org.
