Athletes who have undergone surgery for the upper or lower extremity require different training than individuals who only want to return to activities of daily living and regular occupations. Space and equipment limitations may make this a challenge in many clinical settings. The purpose of this course is to present rehabilitation principles and progressions that can be tailored to meet the demands of the athlete and the limitations of the clinical setting.

Using the published evidence concerning outcomes after common surgical procedures, the instructors will present a systematic, data-driven approach to late stage rehabilitation and discuss the decision-making process to identify patients who are prepared to return to on-field rehabilitation.

NOTE: This course will include extensive lab and hands-on training!
