This is a special-edition email regarding three important announcements:

Great News, DNR Grant Received!
We wanted you to be aware that a grant agreement with the DNR was approved on June 21, 2019. With this agreement, the LID can submit expenses for DNR grant reimbursement up to $65,000 for this phase of the project. The DNR has also given promising information regarding possible future grant funds for the High-Water Project. Grant dollars through the DNR Flood Damage Reduction grant program can only be awarded to local government units, such as the Lake Shamineau Lake Improvement District and cannot be awarded to individuals or independent organizations.

High Water Project Informational Meeting - Very Important!
Get the most up to date information about the High-Water Project at an informational meeting for Lake Shamineau property owners on Saturday, July 6, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Lincoln Evangelical Free Church . The engineering firm, WSN, will attend the meeting to present information on their recommendations for a high-water solution and to answer questions.

Public Hearing for the LID Establishment Order
We wanted you to know that the Morrison County Board of Commissioners have called for a public hearing to discuss amending the orders of establishment for the Lake Shamineau Lake Improvement District. The hearing will be held Thursday, July 18, at 6:30 pm at the Lincoln Evangelical Free Church. See the LID website for a copy of the establishment order revisions that will be under consideration.
