Team Synergy: A New Chapter in Our Medical Missions

This month, we're proud to highlight Team Synergy, a groundbreaking medical team composed entirely of Guatemalan doctors who are generously donating their time and expertise. In just a few days, their clinic in Santa Catarina Palopó made a lasting impact, delivering essential healthcare to communities with limited access.

Impact in Numbers: Team Synergy saw and treated 280 patients, providing essential consultations, treatments, and health education, and installed 82 smoke-free stoves and water filters, creating safer and healthier homes.

This all-Guatemalan team embodies the power of local leadership and sustainable impact. At IEP, we believe that transforming healthcare in Guatemala isn’t just about relying on foreign volunteers—it’s about empowering Guatemalans to help their own communities. By fostering a sense of patriotism and providing opportunities for local medical professionals to serve, we’re not only strengthening community ties but also laying the foundation to expand our healthcare program across the country.

This year, International Esperanza Project - IEP will celebrate its 6th annual IMPACT Luncheon. It will feature a panel of female leaders who will discuss issues relevant to girls' and women's empowerment.

At IEP, we are committed to empowering women at every stage of life. Through education programs at IEP’s El Molino School, we nurture girls from the Montessori level through high school, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to thrive. For older teens and women, the Esperanza Center provides vocational training in practical skills, equipping them with the tools needed to secure dignified employment and build brighter futures.
