Annual Hydrant Flushing Starting Soon

In our continued commitment to provide our customers with high-quality water services and fire flow protection, Daphne Utilities routinely flushes each of the more than 1,300 hydrants in our system.

Hydrant Flushing will start in February and continue through May. Find us on Facebook and Twitter for more information and up-to-date schedules.

During flushing, residents may experience discoloration and/or low water pressure. The water lines should clear after a few minutes of running faucets.

Lend A Hand Program
Daphne Utilities and Ecumenical Ministries of Baldwin County have partnered together to help those families who are struggling to pay their utility bills or may need help with utility repairs. When you enroll in the Lend-A-Hand program your monthly utility bill will be rounded to the nearest dollar. Those extra pennies will be used to help your neighbors with their utility bills. Please contact us today and help a neighbor in need!

Trash Service

Daphne Utilities is always proud to partner with the City of Daphne! We do know it gets confusing at times what services we each offer. We handle the billing for trash service, the city handles the service and operation of that, along with recycling and stormwater management.

Projects

NATURAL GAS: Contractor, Equix, will be continuing the steel renewal project this year. Crews are currently working in the Daphmont community and are expected to be there the next few months.

COLLECTIONS: Contractors will be completing upgrades to one of our Lift Stations near I-10 and the Bass Pro Shop. This project is expected to last a few months.

WATER: To increase capacity, we have 2 potable water wells being installed. Well 14, in Diamante, and Well 15, on Trione St. One will help with the South end of our system, and the other helping on the North end.

Know what NOT to flush

Many overflows in the sewer system are caused by blockages which we have little control over. Remember, the 3 Ps should be the only thing going down the toilet: Pee, Poop, (toilet) Paper.

Unfortunately, over the years, some people have turned the toilet into a trash can. From medications and feminine hygiene products to dead pet fish and cigarette butts, if it fits, people flush it.

Out of sight, out of mind? WRONG! Only flush human waste and toilet paper - all the rest can damage your throne.

Monthly Board Meetings

Join us the last Wednesday of every month at Daphne City Hall. Board members and our executive staff meet monthly to discuss current happenings at the utility.
