Whole-Hearted Parenting Class
Sundays in Lent
How do we grow healthy, resilient children and youth who seek and serve Christ in all persons, who love their neighbors, who strive for justice and peace and respect the dignity of others? Both educational and experiential, this Wholehearted Parenting class explores the research of Dr. Brené Brown on vulnerability and authenticity, and integrates science and spirituality into positive parenting practices.
This offering was created by Rev. Ginny when she served as the formation director for the diocese and includes time for shared reflection and conversation. It's a great time to meet other parents at St Andrews.
Wholehearted Parenting will be held immediately after church beginning on March 5th, and childcare will be available. Please RSVP to martha@standrewsgso.org to reserve your spot and so that we can be sure to have fun, age-appropriate activities available for your child during class time.

EYC on February 26th, and a Parish-Wide Coin Drive
Our next EYC meeting will be Pretzels and Prayers on Sunday, February 26th from 5-6:30 in Herman Hall.
Heads up youth! This Lent we will be spearheading a parish-wide coin drive to raise money to pay off Lindley Elementary's school lunch debt. We need you to help collect change before church, count and roll coins after, and give a weekly update on how much money we have raised. The 26th is our first Sunday to collect coins, so meet us on the front steps of the church at 9:40 that morning. Let's pay off these kids' lunch debt!

Children's Chapel Sunday February 26th
On the first Sunday of Lent, February 26th, our Kindergarten-5th graders are invited to join us for Children's Chapel, downstairs from the sanctuary. We'll process out of the service together at the usual time and head downstairs for a special story, offertory, and to welcome, sing, and move with our new musician, Riley Walker, before coming back to 'big church' in time for the Eucharist. We look forward to having our little ones join us for this special celebration.

Communion celebration
For Kindergarten-Fifth Grade
On April 23rd and 30th, we invite all interested elementary-age children to join us after church for a celebration of communion, a two-class series where we will learn about the rite of communion, why we celebrate it each week, and what it means to us as a church. The first week, families will meet in the church for a story, tour of the sacristy, and Communion Show and Tell, and the second week we will meet in the Godly Play room to learn the story of The Good Shepherd. On May 7th, we will sit together as a group during church, and will take communion together. We hope you will join us for this fun opportunity to learn more about this important sacrament.

Mrs Barbara
My name is Barbara Cernansky Hyler. I have been working with young children since 1999. I moved to Greensboro in 2007 from New York and have five grandchildren.
I love working with little ones because every day is different and they teach us so much about innocence and love. I work with some wonderful ladies here at St. Andrews and we hope we get to meet your little one soon.

I grew up in the Chapel Hill area and moved to Lindley Park in August of 2018 to finish school. I graduated from UNCG in 2020. I have been with The Fresh Market Corporate doing Floral Merchandising since October 2021. During covid I worked with a family, also members of St Andrews, with 3 young kids aged 7months -5years when I began with them. I also worked as a child care provider at Starmount Preschool in the two year old classroom. I have two little old rescue pups I adore, and a one year old nephew I visit every week. Looking forward to settling down in the area and being a part of St. Andrews!
