Adults and youth rising 7th graders and above are welcome to serve as Crucifer.

Adults and youth rising 9th graders and above are welcome to serve as Lay Readers.

Please let Father Rob know if you are interested in serving. A training session will be held in late August.

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT

Pageant Rehearsals will be after the 10:30 service every Sunday until Christmas Eve.

OUTREACH

The Food Bank is in great need of food items, paper goods, and toiletries for our neighbors in Somerset County. We especially want to focus on personal items and cleaning products, such as toothpaste, feminine products, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc. Cash and checks are also greatly appreciated. There’s always a container on the stairs leading up to the choir loft.

The Angel Tree is on the bulletin board in the Undercroft. It provides Christmas presents for children and teens in need.

Cold Weather Coat Drive: 1-15 December.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with Kathy Shanklin.

BILL VALLIANT

Bill Valliant is retiring from his job as St. Martin's sexton. Bill has served our parish for many years, doing the messy and thankless jobs behind the scenes. We thank him for his dedication and service to our family.

We are always collecting the following items:

  • Styrofoam
  • Unusable pens/markers/pencils

Please consider bringing your compost to the church's compost bin. It’s behind the playground and the small fenced-in area.

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH

You are always welcome to worship at St Martin's and participate in service and fellowship activities regardless of your membership status. We are thrilled to have you in our community. But sometimes people want to go deeper and become a full member of St Martin's and the Episcopal Church. One becomes a full member through the Sacrament of Confirmation- or if you have already been confirmed in a church with apostolic succession (Roman Catholic, Orthodox, or ELCA), by the rite of Reception into the Episcopal Church with the Laying on of Hands by the Bishop. Confirmation and Reception by the Bishop makes you a member of the Episcopal Church and allows you to serve on the Vestry (which is the lay leadership board for the parish in the Episcopal Church.)

Please ask Father Rob for more information.
