SUMMER SCHEDULE

There will be no incense on June 8, 15, 22, and August 17. The summer schedule ends the Sunday after Labor Day.

PRIDE PICNIC

This year, our Pride picnic will be held on June 22nd at 11:30. Hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, and beverages will be provided by the church. Please bring a side or dessert.

There will be a table where you can write affirming notes, cards, or pictures for our LGBTQ+ community members. Games and crafts will also be set up for all ages.

We encourage you to spread the word and invite family, friends, and neighbors.

SOMERVILLE PRIDE

ON DIVISION STREET

St. Martin's will have a table at this Pride event, with information about our church and messages of love and support for our LGBTQ+ youth and elders. We are looking for volunteers to sit at the table. Last year, we were the only church represented at this event, and many of the people who stopped by our table were interested in learning more about our parish.

SENIOR MOMENTS

The suggested meeting agenda is lunch at Butler's Pantry Trackside at the Far Hills train station at noon, followed by a visit to Leonard Buck's Garden, 11 Layton Road, Far Hills. Please email me if this agenda is good for you. If not, we can schedule a meeting at the church for 1 p.m. Please RSVP as soon as possible so I can make the necessary arrangements.

OUTREACH

We will be volunteering for the food bank on the 1st and 3rd weekends in August, for which a sign-up sheet has been placed in the Narthex.

A collection bin for Laundry Love has been placed in the Narthex. We are collecting rolls of quarters, detergent pods, dryer sheets, and small plastic ziplock bags. This collection will be ongoing.

During June, we will collect menstrual hygiene products and new or gently used bras for the organization "I Support Girls." It provides these products to local women, including trans and non-binary ones.

The Food Bank is in great need of food items, paper goods, and toiletries for our neighbors in Somerset County. We especially want to focus on personal items and cleaning products, such as toothpaste, feminine products, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc. Cash and checks are also greatly appreciated. There’s always a container on the stairs leading up to the choir loft.

We are always collecting the following items:

• Shopping Bags
• Empty Pill Bottles with all plastic lids
• Styrofoam (no food containers)
• Yarn
• Unusable pens/markers/pencils
• Kitchen items (no furniture)
• Books
