Since January, the Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation (GLA) and the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) have hosted a series of webinars to support LA County districts and schools in utilizing the “Los Angeles County Toolkit to Equity-Centered Dual Enrollment Partnerships”. Learning sessions align with the toolkit’s organizing framework and feature presentations led by partners with insight and expertise in dual enrollment planning, practice, and implementation.

Calling All LA County Youth Serving Organizations! | |
GLA, the Museum Educators of Southern California, GPSN, ExpandLA, and the LA STEM Collective are partnering together to create a comprehensive web portal, LA Enrichment Hub, that will connect organizations to schools and families. The portal will feature an asset map and interactive dashboard created for teachers, families, and school leaders to find community organizations and help increase arts education, STEM and out-of-school-time opportunities for students. | |

New Teen Tech Center Now Open! | |
We are excited to announce that the Teen Tech Center at North Valley Caring Services (NVCS) is now open for programming for the North Hills community! In December, NVCS hosted a soft opening event that featured speakers such as San Fernando Mayor Celeste T. Rodriguez, California State Senator Caroline Menjivar, and music producer Dontay Kidd. The NVCS family had the opportunity to use the music production studio, 3D printers, VR headsets, heat press and more! NVCS will hold a Grand Opening event in the spring. | | |

GLA, in partnership with Best Buy Foundation and Annenberg Foundation, is excited to lead the regional expansion of Teen Tech Centers, which will provide industry-grade technology, dynamic programming and workforce development for the creative economy to LA County’s underserved teens. The Teen Tech Center at NVCS was the first site supported by ARP funding and in collaboration with Los Angeles County Internal Services Department. | |

Golden State Pathways Program Grant Opportunity for Equitable Education and Career Success | |

Building upon the momentum of fostering equitable educational opportunities, LACOE Career Technical Education (CTE) is excited to announce the request for applications (RFA) for the Golden State Pathways Program (GSPP) grant released on January 30, 2024. The deadline to apply is March 19, 2024.
This grant seeks to support the development and implementation of innovative pathways that ensure students are prepared for both college and career success. The GSPP represents a pivotal investment in the future of California's education system, providing resources to create seamless transitions from high school to higher education and into the workforce. There are three grants offered to LEAs. The grants are:
- Planning, Funding $200,000. Funding period 2024 – 2025
- Implementation $500,000. Funding period 2024 – 2028

- Consortium Up to $500K per consortium member for a maximum of $4M, may include community college. Funding period 2024-2028

2024-25 Advancement Grant and Coaching Applications Now Open - Deadline March 13, 2024 | | |

The Advancement Grant offers financial support to Los Angeles County school districts working to provide quality arts education to all students. Districts may apply for matching funds of up to $25,000. Los Angeles County school districts that are in partnership with the Arts Ed Collective and will be implementing board approved strategic plans for arts education in 2024-25 are eligible to apply. The Arts Ed Collective offers coaching support for school districts interested in creating or updating strategic arts plans at no cost to the district. Based on the needs of a district, our experts provide customized coaching services to support the long-term implementation of arts education. Coaching services are offered to school districts at no cost, but space is limited. The application for 2024-25 is now open. Learn more. | |
