Welcome Back, We Missed You
We are excited to welcome you back into the Library! The health and safety of our staff and patrons are our top priorities at the Spencer County Public Libraries. Due to this concern, we are following
guidelines set by state and local health departments and the CDC to keep our staff and patrons safe during the COVID-19 health emergency.Click herefor a list of steps we are taking.

Our Summer Reading Program will be a little different than what we are used to, but so is everything else. This year our program will be virtual. SCPL is committed to giving you a summer reading program for all ages. Our virtual program will begin June 1st. We encourage you to track your reading progress using Beanstack. Instructions on how to download the app and use the program can be foundhere. Paper reading logs and adult reading entry forms are available at each location.
The Library is issuing our patrons a challenge to checkout 4000 books in June. If the Library reaches our goal we will adopt a Library pet! Be sure to visit the Library, or request
curbside materials, and checkout a stack of books!
In conjunction with our Summer Reading program we will also hold a Cutest Pet Contest. Entries will be accepted June 1st through June 15th. Voting will take place June 16th through July 4th. The winner will be announced on July 6th. Please submit photo entries to
