Recovery Guidelines
In recent weeks, the Recovery Task Force convened by Supervisor Cox and Mayor Faulconer has been working to ensure businesses have clear guidelines and expectations as we move towards recovery. The South County Economic Development Council along with many of our civic partners from around the County of San Diego have been sharing your concerns and needs as members of this group.

With an ever changing landscape information is key to business continuity. Whether it is finding funding programs or employee benefit relief, the SCEDC is constantly sourcing information. To minimize emails here is a running list of resources for your business:

Connecting with Businesses
In order to better serve the businesses in South County we have engaged in video conferences with business leaders. The goal of the calls was twofold, first to understand what businesses needed while facing this unprecedented time and second to help disseminate the most current information.

The South County EDC is proud to be part of a county coalition of community organizations focusing on what recovery for our region will look like. Thank you to Supervisor Cox and Mayor Faulconer for having the foresight to lead us out of the State of Emergency.

South County EDC Emergency Loan Program
South County EDC Here to Help
At the outset of the current State of Emergency the South County Economic Development Council set out to assist as many businesses as possible. The board of directors allocated funds to help sustain operations for restaurants. These loans are for restaurants located within the south county and are a 1-year interest free loan of $5,000. To date the South County EDC has been able to fund twenty-six loans. Opportunity remains for other restaurants within our service area and we encourage you to visit our application and determine if this program is the right for your business:
