LOWER SCHOOL IS ONE HOT SPOT!
The Lower School celebrated International Dot Day on Thursday by wearing polka dots and participating in fun activities. The third grade read Peter Reynolds’ "The Dot" together, and then students worked collectively across our three classes to use their creativity to confidently "make their marks" on a shared banner. See all the fun photos on our Facebook page!
SAVED BY THE CELL
HT Life Science students prepared and viewed slides of elodea cells, onion cells, and their own cheek cells. Below are some actual images of cells students saw and their process. Onion day was sure a stinky one in the science classroom!
Even Mrs. DeRosier's AP Bio students got in on the cell game this week investigating the effect of cell size on metabolic functions:

HT CLASS OF 2019 WATSON: TAKING HIS CAREER TO GREAT HEIGHTS

Callum Watson graduated from Holy Trinity in the spring of 2019. He became interested in flying his senior year. He had always had an affinity for airplanes but never knew where to begin to actually learn to fly. Luckily, he had a good friend who told him where to go for something called a "discovery flight" -- a quick hour flying experience -- to see if it was really something for him. That hour Callum spent in an airplane was all he needed to know what he wanted to do for the rest of his life!

Since graduating just three years ago, Callum has earned all of his flying licenses up to flight instructor level while continuing college part time. In fact, he just earned his pilot's license with fellow HT alum Trip Rachael. (Trip was actually the person who got Callum interested in flying in the first place!)

Callum works at a flight school in Titusville and offers any students a chance to enjoy a free discovery flight.

He recently contacted us expressing his desire to get other Holy Trinity students interested in aviation and flying.

"It’s a great career with a promising future, and I hope I can 'pay it forward' for other Holy Trinity students looking for an exciting profession to pursue."

If you or someone you know is interested in taking a discovery flight, contact Callum by phone or text to (321) 272-9560.
