SCHOOLWIDE NEWS & HAPPENINGS
We are so excited to announce that An Evening of Elegance: Symphony and Sinatra was a huge success, netting more than $155,000 for the Performing Arts programs at Holy Trinity!

Thank you to all of our generous sponsors and guests for being a part of this first-of-its-kind and uniquely-HT event.

First to benefit from the funds raised will be The Scott Center for Worship and the Performing Arts at the Upper School, which will undergo upgrades to lighting, the sound system, and other A/V equipment over Spring Break. Our theater students performing in this Spring’s musical “Big Fish” will benefit from your contribution right away!

RUNNER UP...
Juxtaposition: Our youngest (7th grade) tennis players held their own in Tuesday night's doubles match against Masters Academy in Vero Beach, and while they may have lost to their older and significantly taller counterparts, their showing was beyond impressive and further proof that "size matters not!" - Yoda
Have you been following our #YearoftheTiger campaign on our HT Facebook and Instagram page @hteatigers? You and/or your family can play a starring role as well! Just give us a "ROAR" and tell us why Holy Trinity was the right choice for you/your family.

March Mammal Madness is Here!

March Mammal Madness has begun! This is an annual tournament pitting different organisms against each other in a battle for domination (virtually, of course). It's a great way to have fun with learning about different organisms and doing research. The tournament kicks off on March 14th with the "Wild Card" match.

Anyone can fill out a bracket and play along. If you want to up the stakes, turn in your bracket along with and $5 to Mrs. DeRosier in Room 605 at the Upper School by March 11th at 3:00 PM for a chance to win! The prize pool will be a 50/50 fundraiser for the Florida Wildlife Hospital. Half of the pool will go to benefit FWH, and the other 50% will go to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place bracket winners! You can enter as many brackets as you want ($5 each, cash only). The more people play, the bigger the prize pool.

Click this link to find the official bracket, along with research resources and the tournament calendar:

Avoid the afternoon carline and have your student meet up with their friends and classmates at The Huddle - after school - at the Tiger Athletic Complex on Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 PM. They can work on homework, group projects, study, grab a snack, or play a round of ping pong, spike ball, or corn hole.

STUDENTS ORGANIZE SUNSET WALK FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION

HT's Mental Health Awareness Club organized a sunset walk at Hightower Beach on February 27th to bring awareness to teen suicide and prevention and the importance of having access to mental health resources. They kicked the walk off with an inspirational and informative talk by Jocelyn Hofstede, a mental health counselor from Live Well Behavioral Health. Students wore support ribbons and walked the beach as the sun went down. Then, they enjoyed dinner together graciously catered by Mrs. Bernick and Mr. Penley. Donations were collected and will be sent to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Our Boys Varsity Basketball team boarded a bus to Lakeland on Wednesday, on their way to the Final Four championships. After an incredible season, our Tigers unfortunately lost to Riviera, but came home with their heads held high after a hugely successful season. The last time Varsity Basketball made it this far was six years ago. Congratulations to Coach Steve Henderson, Assistant Coaches James Clark, Riley Goldman and Clay Cutting, and the entire team for an outstanding season!
