Annual Golf Tournament Raises $40K+ for HT Athletics!

The final foursome of the 2021 Holy Trinity Vicky Hurst Golf Tournament played at Suntree Country Club last week, closing the books on the longest golf tournament in HT history! Even the rain and wind that caused us to cancel the tournament back in April, couldn't dampen the overwhelming support we received with 62 of 144 registered players able to hit the course over the last few months to make up their matches that were rained out.

This year's tournament raised $40,426.64 for Holy Trinity's athletics program! We are so grateful for the generosity of our community, our partners, and all those who had a hand in helping make this event a success despite the weather and cancellation.

Stay tuned for information on the 2022 Vicky Hurst Holy Trinity Golf Tournament and mark your calendars now to join us April 10, 2022!

IT TIPS & TRICKS
Listing Emergency Contacts for Your Student
in onCampus

Because you are an avid reader of the family newsletter’s IT Tips & Tricks section, you know that you can click on your name in the upper right corner to view additional settings, and you’ve discovered the Emergency Contacts section of your student’s profile. (Click your name > Profile > Scroll down until you see your student’s name > Click on student name to see their profile)

As a parent, you are, of course, the primary emergency contact. So why isn’t your name in the Emergency Contacts field? Our system identifies you as a parent, and we will attempt to contact parents first in the event of an emergency situation involving your student. Even if you have not opted-in to receive non-emergency HTEA Notifications, you are still on our emergency notifications list*.

Contacts listed in the Emergency Contact field are additional trusted contacts - grandparents, extended family, friends or close associates – who will be contacted in event that we cannot reach you.

In fact, adding a your (parent) name and contact number in this field may actually prevent automated text messages from being sent to the number listed. We realize this is counterintuitive, and we monitor updates made to student profiles to ensure that the correct information is maintained in the right places.

In summary, DO:
  • *Text the word Yes to 87569 from your cell phone to ensure that you will receive Emergency notifications from our text messaging service.
  • Add trusted contacts such as extended family members or close friends to the Emergency Contacts section. In the event that we are unable to contact you, we will contact them.
  • Be sure to include the contact’s phone number and their relationship to your student.
  • Update the automated call field to “Never” if you do not intend for this person to receive automated text messages.

DON’T:
  • Add parent names and contact numbers to the Emergency Contacts section; we know you, and we’ll call you first!

One final “Do”: Do email us at helpdesk@htes.org if you need assistance or have questions.
