Important Message Regarding Your onCampus Account

Over the course of this school year, IT has worked to migrate all parent accounts to authenticate with Blackbaud ID. This change increases the security of our data, offers self-service password reset via a link on the login screen, and provides the option for single sign-on (SSO) with Google accounts.

Troubleshooting Tips:
  • If you have difficulty logging into your onCampus account, be sure you are using your email address as your username.
  • If you don’t recall your password, use the “Forgotten Password” link on the login page to request a password reset email.
  • Occasionally, caches/cookies on your browser can interfere with the sign in process. We recommend using an InPrivate (Edge) or Incognito (Chrome) browser window to avoid these issues. You can also, if given the option on pop-up window, click “Sign in with another email,” then enter your onCampus email/username.

If you have not yet updated your account by following the steps in the “Connect to Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy” email, your account has been disabled. This step was taken to protect our community’s data. We will gladly reconnect your account at your request. Email us at [email protected], and please be sure to include your name and email address (to be used as your username) in the request.

We greatly appreciate how quickly so many of Holy Trinity’s parents completed this task. As always, feel free to contact us with any account-related questions or issues.

SUMMER SUCCESS PROGRAM

This school year is quickly coming to an end, and we are so proud of our students and their academic growth and development! We hope you all enjoy a summer break full of rest, relaxation and great family fun. However, we know that it is common for students to experience some learning loss over the summer break, and educators often refer to this as the “Summer Slide.” To help our students avoid the Summer Slide, we would like to make you aware of a Summer Success Program available through a company called Connected Class. Participation in the program is not mandatory; we are just providing information on this resource for those families who might find an online summer educational program beneficial for their children.

There is a small cost to participate and the contractual arrangement is between our families and the company offering the program, Connected Class. Holy Trinity does not realize any financial gain from participation in the program, we simply may ask for your feedback on the product to determine if we would continue to share the resource in the future.

What does the Summer Success Program include?
  • One (1) Summer Success Kit, mailed directly to the student at the beginning of summer. The kit includes items used to play Learning Link games/activities and is packaged in a drawstring backpack.
  • Weekly emails sent directly to parents over the 10 weeks of summer with brief videos demonstrating a math and literacy game/activity appropriate for their student's grade level.
  • Ongoing instructional support from Connected Class educators. Parents can reply to emails and ask questions throughout the summer.

To participate in this program, visit https://connectedclass.com/product/learning-link-summer-success-program/ to sign up and purchase your Summer Success Take-Home Kit. All orders must be placed by MAY 20th.

Parents, we are excited to be able to make this opportunity available to you. Thank you for being a part of your child’s educational experience. Your involvement in their education is the difference maker!

TIGERS MAKING TRACKS
HT HAS ITSELF A NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLAR!

Holy Trinity senior and class valedictorian Priya Gutta has been selected as a winner of the National Merit $2500 Scholarship.

Among all students who entered the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program, only about 16,000 were named Semifinalists. They were designated on a state representational basis, in proportion to each state’s percentage of the national total of graduating high school seniors. In order to advance in the competition and be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, a Semifinalist had to become a Finalist by fulfilling several requirements that included submitting a detailed scholarship application and presenting a record of very high academic performance. All winners of about 7,500 National Merit Scholarships are being chosen from the group of approximately 15,000 distinguished Finalists.

The 2,500 National Merit $2500 Scholarships are the awards for which every Finalist is considered. Winners are named in every state, in numbers based on the state’s percentage of the nation’s graduating high school seniors.

Priya will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall and pursuing a dual degree in computer science and business administration. We are so very proud of her and wish her the best of luck in college and all her future endeavors!
LOWER SCHOOL ACADEMIC AND CHARACTER AWARDS
On Wednesday the Lower School held its annual awards ceremony, recognizing our students for their academic and character achievements. Awards included the Zaner-Bloser Handwriting Award, Battle of the Books, Science Fair Award, Growth Mindset Award, Safety Patrol, Yearbook Club, Peace Award, Helping Hands, Chapel Worship Team, I-Team, Athletes of the Year, Tiger Spirit, Presidents Award for Educational Excellence, Parent Substitutes and Volunteers, Citizenship Award, Kathryn Kreag Palmer Literary Achievement Award, and the Charles B. Thomas Award.

STUDENTS CREATE CARDS FOR UKRAINE

Mrs. Brown's AP classes created cards of encouragement and hope to be delivered to Ukrainian orphanages and people in hiding in the warzone. The organization is called Love Can Cross Oceans. A representative will be coming to explain the mission and provide materials for students to create handmade cards to collect and send.
SECOND GRADERS CELEBRATE ANNUAL WAX MUSEUM DAY
Do you recognize any of these famous faces? Last week, our second grade held its annual Wax Museum Day where students "got into character" with props and presented on the biographies of well known individuals. Students each chose an important person (historical or living), and for three months researched, wrote reports and created oral scripts based on those figures, highlighting who they are, important facts, and why they are/were important. This is the 7th annual Wax Museum Day. CHECK OUT MORE PHOTOS HERE.
Sophomore Lauren Juntunen performed with the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra at the King Center last Saturday as part of the "In Need of Music" concert conducted by Holy Trinity's own chorus and strings teacher, Mrs. Lorie Wacaster.
I-TEAM BAKE SALE HELPS WITH CAMPUS BEAUTIFICATION

Our 6th grade I-Team members have been hard at work beautifying our Lower School Campus. Under the direction of their sponsors, Chaplain Garcia, Mrs. Benhase and Mrs. Durrance, the I-Team raised enough funds during their latest Bake Sale Fundraiser to purchase benches, plants and planters for the courtyard by the Tiger Welcome Center. Their efforts have dramatically enhanced the entrance area and we are so proud of them!
AFTER AP EXAMS, WE PLAY...
Mrs. DeRosier's AP Biology students are unwinding after their exam, playing board games based on biological concepts! Pictured are the games Cytosis, Cellulose, and Wingspan.
STEAMING TOWARD SUMMER...
Our 3rd graders are wrapping up their year with a parachute project in Ms. Geanacopoulos’s STEAM class. Understanding that changing different variables - canopy size, canopy material, cord length and mass - will change the rate of descent, students could pick and choose which variable to test with the goal of creating a parachute that would last the longest in the air.
Also in STEAM this week, 4th graders attempted the famous Pringle Ringle Challenge, where students tested their building abilities using a fragile material to create a ring with no glue or tape allowed! Students used their knowledge on gravity and friction to complete this task, but the hardest part was NOT eatting the chips while building!
