TIGERS MAKING TRACKS
TIGERS TAKE MANHATTAN!
Students from HT's Fine Arts programs visited the Big Apple over the mini break and got to explore nearly everything NYC has to offer by way of the Arts including Broadway musicals, a concert in Carnegie Hall, tours of the Whitney and MOMA art museums, a tour of Harlem and the Apollo Theater, and even a meal at the world-famous Sylvia's restaurant. Our students even had the unique opportunity to participate in a workshop given by performers from the hit Broadway show Tina, the Tina Turner Musical! This once in a lifetime opportunity would not have been possible without the commitment to the extensive planning and logistics that come with a trip of this scope - during a pandemic no less! Many thanks to Mrs. Wacaster, Mr. Stephens, Mrs. Rodby, Mrs. McDonald, Mrs. Barnette and our other organizers and chaperones.
MAKING THE ARGUMENT FOR AP SEMINAR

This week, our AP Seminar students performed their Team Multimedia Presentations, which were the culmination of their research outlining a societal problem that included over 6,000-words of research per team , a 10-minute recorded presentation arguing for a proposed solution, and an oral defense. The students learned collaboration, how to conduct scholarly research, and how to effectively present and defend an argument to a live audience. They did an amazing job and will now begin work on their Individual Written Arguments and Presentations.
