5/20/2022
This will be our final newsletter of the 2022-23 academic school year. There will be two summer updates to come on/around June 15th and July 15th, with a Back-to-School "Know Before You Go" at the end of July/early August, so keep an eye out in your in-boxes. Wishing our students, teachers and families a safe and healthy summer full of happy memory-making!
Dear HT Families,

Well, we made it! Summer break is finally upon us and another school year is in the books! And while this past year was still fraught with new and not-so-new challenges, I believe we managed to infuse more normalcy and even bring some fun back to our daily routine.

Thank you for your patience, generosity and engagement this past year. It was so nice to finally be able to bring our families back to our campuses to take part in some old and new traditions such as our Lower School chapel service, the Holiday Picnic, our new parent reception, An Evening of Elegance, and Ladies Night Out Bingo Bash, to name a few! The partnership we share with our parents is so very important to us.

I want to recognize our teachers for delivering outstanding educational experiences to our students this year with inspiring curriculum, innovative thinking and creative approaches. They brought passion and positivity to their classrooms each day and it made the difference. I encourage you to take a look at the new virtual classroom tours on our website, as they are great examples of the incomparable work of our educators and our equally impressive students. Your children make me hopeful for our future!

Over the summer months, our school leaders will be working on a new five-year strategic plan to further Holy Trinity’s mission and educational philosophy and guide us into a new and exciting next chapter. Your feedback is vital to helping inform this plan, so I hope you will take a few minutes to complete our Annual Parent Survey and provide us with your own insights and perspectives. Your input is appreciated and matters!

Author and theologian C.S. Lewis wrote, “There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.” As we bring the 2021-22 school year to a close, we look ahead with hopefulness to new adventures and opportunities. But first, it’s time to enjoy some much deserved downtime with family and friends.

I wish you a healthy, safe and happy summer break. We will see you back here in August for a new school year filled with limitless possibilities!

Be well and God bless,
Dr. Katherine M. Cobb
President
YOUR FEEDBACK IS IMPORTANT TO US....
END OF YEAR PARENT SURVEY
Please invest some time in completing our END OF YEAR PARENT SURVEY for EACH CHILD who attended Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in the 2021-22 school year. Your feedback is extremely important to us as we work this summer to develop a new five-year strategic plan to further Holy Trinity’s mission and educational philosophy.

This year's survey is being administered through Survey Monkey to maintain anonymity. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes (per child) to complete and will be open through June 1st. Your investment and candid contributions are both valued and greatly appreciated.
SCHOOLWIDE NEWS & HAPPENINGS
Important Message Regarding Your onCampus Account
Over the course of this school year, IT has worked to migrate all parent accounts to authenticate with Blackbaud ID. This change increases the security of our data, offers self-service password reset via a link on the login screen, and provides the option for single sign-on (SSO) with Google accounts.

Troubleshooting Tips:
  • If you have difficulty logging into your onCampus account, be sure you are using your email address as your username.
  • If you don’t recall your password, use the “Forgotten Password” link on the login page to request a password reset email.
  • Occasionally, caches/cookies on your browser can interfere with the sign in process. We recommend using an InPrivate (Edge) or Incognito (Chrome) browser window to avoid these issues. You can also, if given the option on pop-up window, click “Sign in with another email,” then enter your onCampus email/username.

If you have not yet updated your account by following the steps in the “Connect to Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy” email, your account has been disabled. This step was taken to protect our community’s data. We will gladly reconnect your account at your request. Email us at [email protected], and please be sure to include your name and email address (to be used as your username) in the request.

LOWER SCHOOL INFORMATION
LOWER SCHOOL IS SEEKING GRADE LEVEL AMBASSADORS FOR 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR
The 2022/23 school year will be an exciting one for Holy Trinity Lower School! We are thrilled to share that we will welcome more than 75 new students (so far!) for the 2022/23 school year!

To help new families transition into the HT community smoothly, we have decided to update and streamline our Ambassador program. Instead of trying to pair up so many wonderful new families individually, we have decided to select one or two Grade Level Ambassadors per grade to be the central point of contact. Ideally, we are looking for energetic, friendly parents who have been at the school for a year or more.

If you would like to volunteer as a Grade Level Ambassador or Co-Ambassador, please contact Sharon Edgerton at [email protected]. She is happy to share more detailed information about the role.

WHAT'S GOT THESE SECOND GRADERS ALL A-BUZZ?

Mrs. Morgan's 2nd grade class had an end of year assignment to create their own insects, identifying their body parts, including the head, thorax, abdomen; six legs, a compound eye, and two antennas. They chose all different kinds of materials to make these parts. First, they made a drawing plan for their insect. Then they chose a name. The students also built a habitat for their newly created insect. They wrote about what it will eat, where it will sleep and how it protects itself. They were so creative with talking about what their insect likes to do for fun. This was such a great way to wrap up to their Science Insect Unit.
