Teen and Parent/Caregiver Alliance

Teen and Parent/Caregiver Alliance. The groups will meet separately, but at the same time, on the 3rd Thursday of each month (6pm-7:30pm).


We are hoping to create a space for LGBTQ+ Youth and Parents/Caregivers to provide support and build a community Downriver. Note that youth can attend without a parent or caregiver and vice versa.

Voices Unfiltered

Focus Groups

Voices Unfiltered focus groups are a way for both adults and youth in the Downriver community have the opportunity to discuss their thoughts and concerns about the needs in the community.



If you would like to participate in a focus group, each participate will receive a $25 gift card for their time, and food will be provided.

Coalition Updates

The mission of the SUDDS Coalition is to prevent underage drinking and drug use in the Downriver community.


As of January 2025, the SUDDs Coalition will be officially combined with the Healthy Downriver Coalition to continue its mission on making the community a healthy and safe place for our youth.


Heathy Downriver:


Mission- Our mission is to build collaboration, improve health equity, and be the creator of positive change to support the health and wellness of Downriver residents.

Vision- To have a culturally inclusive Downriver community that engages in healthy living, has equal access to care, and makes informed choices that strengthen mind, body, and spirit.

Awareness Month

April is Alcohol Awareness Month

Use the month of April to enhance public understanding and awareness, dimmish stigma, and motivate local communities to address issues related to alcoholism and alcohol consumption

World Autism Day is April 2nd

Autism affects an estimated 1 in 36 children in the United States. On April 2nd, we take the time to encourage understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder

Mental Health/Substance Misuse Action Team takes place quarterly, 5:30 PM in person or zoom, the next meeting is scheduled for April 16th, 2025
