Its Not to Late to Join US

Less than 5 spots Left

We are excited to announce that the French Creek Contingent for the 2023 National Jamboree is filling up very quickly. There are currently less than 5 spots open for youth that want to attend this once in a lifetime opportunity next summer. We are also excited to mention that with the girls that we have registered, we are looking for a few adult females who want to join the contingent as a leader. Although we have limited spots and we will fill them first come, first serve, we will not turn anyone away who is interested in attending. We need to know by October 1st if you are interested as the early bird fee for the national price will end shortly. A part of your $2,300 price goes towards this fee. If you are at least not registered with FCC by October, your price will go up to $2,500 or more, and no one wants to pay the extra fee.. If there are any questions, please head over to the registration page and check out the informational packets there.

You can also contact Stephanie at stephanie.jackson@scouting.org with your questions.

Patch Design Contest

For every Jamboree the French Creek Council holds a Patch Design Contest. This contest is for the patches worn by the contingent and used to trade at the Jamboree with other scouts from all over the country. This set typically consists of a set of 5 patches and they represent our council and the area of the globe we reside in. We are taking submissions for the contest until September 15th. If you want to draw something up and submit it to the contest, please send them to Stephanie Jackson, Jamboree Staff Advisor Stephanie.jackson@scouting.org and Mike Miller, Jamboree Scoutmaster mcmiler@yahoo.com before the September deadline. There are a few photos of past patch sets for some inspiration. We are accepting designs from all scouts and scouters in our council, not just those individuals who are on our contingent.

Jamboree Service Team/Staff

If you have an interest in attending the Jamboree but helping to run the show, there are still spots to attend the Jamboree as staff. There are a few options for the service team depending on the amount of time that you can dedicate. There is a fee for attending the jamboree on staff. More information about staffing this event can be found at the following website. Please note that as a Jamboree Service Team member you will be expected to work your assignment at the Jamboree and may or may not interact with our contingent of participants attending.
