WELCOME
The Personnel Committee is pleased to announce that Joe Delise will be expanding his current role with OPPC and has accepted the Building & Technology Superintendent position. Joe will begin this new role on
November 1, 2023, as a full-time member of the staff team. Due to the diverse needs of this position, Joe will establish his core office hours based on the workflow and needs of the building each week. As I'm sure you have noticed, the church is bustling nearly seven days per week, many days from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and no two weeks are the same! Joe will continue his current responsibilities for supporting the video/live streaming for worship services, maintenance of the website platform and will assume the additional duties of building related issues. The building areas which will fall under Joe's oversight and direction include building maintenance (work orders) and oversight of contractors, security, key control & door locking schedules, oversight of the evening attendants, set-up teams, and management of all rentals & leases of the church facilities and oversight of building related (kitchen and janitorial) supplies. We are excited that Joe has accepted this position and feel that he provides a broad range of skills that make him poised to serve the church well in this position. Please welcome Joe to our staff team and offer him your full support as he adapts and learns the full scope of his duties. Joe's best contact number is 317-679-0108 and via email at jdelise@orchardpark.org.

Help Support Clothesline Ministry
OPPC’s Clothesline Ministry provides clothing to at-risk Carmel Clay Elementary and Middle School students. The Clothesline Ministry expanded its reach in 2023 to include all Carmel Clay Elementary and Middle Schools. So far the Clothesline Ministry has filled 29 requests for clothing since the beginning of the fall 2023 school year. To fill more requests, we need your help. Please bring new and gently used clothing appropriate for elementary and middle school students and fill up the grocery cart on Main Street. Clothing items needed include pants, shorts, long sleeve & short sleeve shirts, along with new socks and underwear. We will collect donations through the end of October. According to Cradles to Crayons, "lack of clothing" accounts for 3 of the top 10 reasons kids miss schools. And 2 in 5 American kids are unable to adequately dress themselves every day. Carmel is no exception. OPPC is here to help those in need with your generous contributions. School social workers, teachers, at-risk students, and parents struggling to make ends meet thank you.
