Being in business to earn a profit will cause a necessary push to adjust your rates to a profitable status!

 

1.) Slowing of productivity

Inclement weather will cause a slowing of your performance and is worth more money.

2.)   Staff works harder, equipment works harder

Harder work causes employee and equipment hardship.

3.)   Damage exposure is increased.

Clients vehicle, your equipment and your staff's safety is threatened. Even worse than during good conditions. Loss runs will cause insurance rates to increase for the year

Anytime a service takes longer, it costs more. I don't care what industry it is, costs are raised, then rates need to reflect the level of your service at poor weather conditions.

I can only assume that you entered this business to make a profit. Performing services in a more hazardous conditions constitiut expended rates to cover the costs during abnormal conditions.

If you want to raise the employees pay and / or if you want to raise your own pay or profits, you may have to raise your rates. Rates and costs need to be determined on a regular basis. Due to the current unrest in the business market, things change quickly.
