We welcome Christine Scartz and Sallie Starrett to our Board of Directors.

Christine Scartz is the director of the University of Georgia’s School of Law’s Jane W. Wilson Family Justice Clinic, which provides free representation to indigent victims of domestic violence and stalking in protective order cases.

Sallie Starrett is the CEO of Brightpaths, a nonprofit dedicated to preventing child abuse in Athens and the surrounding area.

Volunteers are needed! Let us know if you can help.

• This year’s event will provide information for potential and current adoptive and foster families, and others interested in learning more about foster care!
• Register here! Registration ends 03/12

• Opportunity Passport is a financial education and matched savings account program for adolescents ages 14-26 who have been in foster care for at least 1 day!
• Youths are eligible for a $3,000 asset match upon completing 8 Financial Literacy Keys.
• Register here!

• Join GACRS for their monthly virtual adoption support group! Share your experience and learn from others.
• RSVP here!

• Celebrate Foster Family Appreciation Month at Washington Farms! Washington Farms will cover admission. Strawberry picking is an additional cost.
• Families must be licensed in Region 5 by DFCS or a private agency.
• DATES: Saturdays from April 12th - May 24th (10 AM - 5 PM) & Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings from April 9th - May 9th
• Register here! Registration needs to be submitted at least 5 days in advance for verification.
