What's Cookin'

Greetings,

March brought the arrival of spring, with average temperatures in the 40s and frequent cloud cover. As we transition into the new season, anticipation for outdoor sports and related activities is palpable. Despite inclement weather, March proved successful regarding meal service: we welcomed an average of 78 guests per day, 314 per week, and 60 attendees at our monthly dinner. In total,1,467 meals were served throughout the month.

For this month’s featured recipe, I am pleased to share a traditional dish from my Polish heritage—my grandmother’s renowned Golabki (stuffed cabbage rolls), which is a customary offering every Easter. I was fortunate to learn this recipe directly from her during her visit to Colorado.

Our community dinner is served the last Thursday of every month from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.

This meal is made possible by a dedicated monthly sponsor who contributes $400, covering the cost of food for up to 50 guests. Sponsors are welcome to participate in any way they choose - by helping prepare the meal, volunteering to serve, or supporting behind the scenes. Sponsors include local businesses, church groups, families and individuals, including those honoring or remembering loved ones.
