Nobles all:

Greetings. I trust this finds you well.

Please note that our next temple meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 59 Maselli Road, Newington, CT. No meal will be provided at this meeting. Doors open at 7:00pm., meeting begins at 7:30pm.

At this meeting, as noted in accordance with the by laws, recommended changes to Sphinx’s bylaws will be presented for a vote.

Your attendance is strongly encouraged; let your voices be heard. In addition, a tentative schedule for future events for the remainder of the year will be presented.

Finally, as noted last month, the Potentate is requesting volunteers to serve on an exploratory committee regarding the future location of Sphinx Shrine Center.

Dahiana’s Story: A Childhood of Compassionate Care at Shriners Children’s

Dahiana’s life changed forever when she lost her leg in a motorcycle accident in her home country of the Dominican Republic. Just a toddler when it happened, Dahiana was treated for her injuries but lacked access to prosthetic care.

Her family sought further treatment options and learned about the Pediatric Orthotic and Prosthetic Services (POPS) available at Shriners Children’s New England in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Trunk or Treat is Back!

Shriners Children's Boston

Whether he’s competing on the football field, the basketball court or the baseball diamond, 10-year-old Noah loves playing sports.

Noah was 2 when he sustained serious burn injuries to both hands after slipping and losing his balance near a fire pit. His mother, Jackie, rushed him to the local hospital near their home in Maine. Doctors there informed Jackie that her son needed to be transported by air to Shriners Children’s Boston. With just the clothes she was wearing, Jackie also boarded the helicopter for the flight to Boston. “It was all really overwhelming. I didn’t even know Shriners Children’s treated burns,” Jackie said. “I’m so glad they made the call to send us there. It was the right one.”

Join us for the 7th Annual Boston Haunted Walk at The Garden at Elm Bank in Wellesley, MA, on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Sphinx Hospital Transportation News

We are looking for drivers & Ride Alongs to transport Connecticut patients to Shriners Children's New England (Springfield) or Shriners Children's Boston. Drivers leave from Newington, pick up the child and parent/guardian at their home, transport to Shriners Children's and then return them home. Some trips take the better part of a day to complete. Please consider volunteering for this very important job.

Sphinx Shriners Caravan Club

The Caravan Shrine Club is a social club open to all Shriners. We also welcome the members' Ladies, as well as the widows of Shriners.

The Caravan Club meets on the Second Wednesday of the month, except July & December at the Athenian Diner II, 864 Washington St., Middletown.

Attendees order off the menu and pay for themselves.
