As I prepare this newsletter, there is a hurricane about to come up the coast to the east of us. We are getting wind and some rain, and looking at it increasing. (As I write some of this, the power has gone out, and I am relying on my laptop and battery backup systems to keep connected to the internet.) It is at this point that I am glad the new studio is several steps up off the ground. While closed today (Thursday), I expect to be open tomorrow at the regular schedule.

Caring Palms hopes that everyone is safe and well, and stays that way.

We still have one more Reiki class scheduled this year, Reiki 1, October 22^nd, and we are still looking for more students.

Because classes can not be held at the studio (as it is too small), they are being held at the Holiday Inn Express on Beach Blvd. Since this incurs an additional cost (more than what one student pays), we need a minimum of 4 students to make this class happen. Currently, we have people signed up, but not enough yet to hold the class. We have had a lot of people showing interest in this class, but have yet to register. Caring Palms has to let the hotel know about a week before the class date whether or not this class will happen. Anyone may take this class, but six (6) continuing education hours are available for Florida massage therapists.

Please, if you are interested, sign up now. Do not wait until the last minute as people tend to do.

Note: This started as a mini reading for someone in a class. But expanded, it applies to everyone.

What dreams may come. How expansive are your dreams? Do you dream in color? Do you wake up wondering how it should end. And how long do you remember your dream once you arise?

Yes, questions to give thought to. We dream. Our consciousness goes out to play while our body rests. Some of our dreams are very elaborate, some are relatively simple. One can have adventures in the Astral Plane, success in certain endeavors, growth in others. Or one could be commanding a starship. Any and all of these are fantastic as they take us out of the normal, and transport us to another realm. This is someplace where we can be ourselves, but tap into parts of us that we do not think of when in our daily lives, giving us the opportunity to show what we can do when we have the strength and confidence to try. That could be leader, healer, builder, communicator.

We look at dreams as imagination at play. But we do not consider these as reachable things. Some are, some are not. But even in the unreachable things there are pieces that we can adopt now, changes we can make within ourselves to be that stronger person now, in “real” life. So, you probably will not be commanding a starship, at least not in this life. But you can bring back with you the strength, confidence, and skills that it takes to do that, and urge them to grow in this life.

Dreaming also lets us see the impossible, and the more we see the impossible, the more we see that it might not be so impossible. The more familiar we get with it, the more we see pathways, motivations, things that propel us to actually make it happen.

So dream. Dreaming is the only way that you consider the impossible. But it is when you actually consider the impossible that it becomes possible, then probable, then a way of life. Don’t disconnect from your dreams, keep them with you in the back of your mind. Think of something to grow into. You may not reach the full potential, like flying in a starship, but you will attain what you can from it, and even that will be more than you considered before. Dream.
