Welcome to this month's Caring Palms Healing Arts newsletter. This month, we have a couple articles for you.

Reiki Classes (what could be the final ones)
There are a few remaining Reiki classes on the schedule. Another Reiki 2 has been set for September 7th which would allow students to get into the Reiki 3 class on the 14th and the Reiki 4 class on October 12th.
The Reiki 3 (Master) class on September 14th has two students signed up already, and has openings for more. I am currently looking for a place to hold this (with possibilities being anywhere from a private home to a hotel), and expect to make a decision soon. You must have taken Reiki 2 form Caring Palms to get into this class.
The Reiki 4 (Healing with Crystals) class has generated a lot of interest, but is waiting for people to sign up. To get into this class you must have Reiki 3 from Caring Palms. This is a class I have taught twice with great results.
Part of the decision process of where to hold these classes involves the number of students. PLEASE, SIGN UP EARLY if you want to take any of these.

Spreading Light Through The Darkness

Darkness. Half the planet is always in darkness. It is called night. But there is darkness, and there is darkness. Just like there is light, and there is light.
Half the planet is always in light as it faces the sun. but in that light there is another type of darkness. This type infects people, their thoughts, their actions, their emotional state.
If we look out over the landscape, we see evil, evil fueled by greed among other things. That evil reaches out and turns minds. It instills hate, pushes ego, and generally makes one want to harm their fellow humans either physically or mentally. This causes struggle among people that are just trying to keep their heads above water.
But this darkness can be fought. We can bring light to it. We can push back, maybe not all at once, but a little bit at a time. It may not seem like a lot, but those little bits add up. They accumulate. Maybe it is just working one group at a time, or one person at a time. Maybe it is day by day, or moment by moment.
If you make a positive change in a moment, that is still positive change. Maybe you or someone else will add to that moment. Maybe the person receiving that change will pass some of that onto others.
But how do we spread this light? In the words of Patrick Swayze, “Be nice.” Yeah. It is that simple. Be kind. Keep an even keel. By doing this, you are spreading positive energy. Saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ does wonders. A smile multiplies that. Holding the door for someone passes kindness. It is amazing how simple acts of kindness can have a big effect.
Keeping an even keel keeps us on the positive side. It keeps us away from anger. And Yoda teaches that anger leads to fear, and fear leads to the dark side. And the truth is that the Force (as well as everything else) has two sides. It is our choice as to which side we move to. Always move to the light side. Take the high road.
Lightworkers (those that work with positive, healing energies) do this when they do their work in the healing arts using energies to help others. They are constantly passing on light. They do this by passing on their energies, their care. And care and compassion are positive things as well, and in turn pass on light, even if you are not a healer, even if you don’t work in the healing arts. Having these qualities make you pass on the light simply by thinking. Yes, thinking.
A thought is energy. A good thought is positive energy. Wishing or visualizing someone being well is healing energy. It is like saying a prayer.
Doing a kindness (whether that be a smile, an act, or anything else) is like lighting a candle. The light from that candle eliminates the darkness around it. Then, maybe that candle will light another, and then another. Before long, we have a lot of light eliminating a lot of darkness.
So, go forth. Spread random acts of love and kindness. Spread the light.

The following is a list of currently scheduled Reiki Classes. Each class requires a minimum of two (2) students to happen.
Classes can be scheduled any day (Tuesday thru Saturday) provided there are no other appointments scheduled.
If you are interested in taking a class, and one is not listed, please call and one can be scheduled.
You may sign up for any of these through the website, or over the phone with a credit card.

All classes are open to anyone wanting to learn this unique method of hands-on healing. The cost for each class is $150 no matter what level of Reiki the class is for.
Reiki 1, 2, and 3 classes are Florida Board of Massage Approved for six (6) Continuing Education Hours (CEUs)

Caring Palms By The Numbers

Over the years, Caring Palms as a business, and as a person has done a lot of healing work. And while mush of it was with the help of other people working for the company, a lot of it was done by Brian only. So, for those of you (and me) that gauge a lot by actual numbers, here are some numbers…
Massage Hours Performed: 8060, by Brian: 7015
Reiki Sessions: 1517, by Brian: 1206
Miscellaneous Energy Services: 512
Seminars Given: 267, by Brian: 67
Massage Classes (students): 86, Body Mechanics: 35, Couples Massage: 51
Reiki Classes (students, post 2003): 1226, Reiki 1: 716, Reiki 2: 339, Reiki 3: 167, Reiki 4: 4
Now, this does not match someone that does five sessions per day, five days a week, but it is a lot considering. All of these sessions and classes were done with Caring Palms’ quality and care, not someone that does session after session to collect a paycheck. That is what makes the difference.

Note: We are asking people not to post on Yelp unless you are a person that posts there regularly. Yelp has some qualifying software that looks at each review, and if you are a regular poster, your comment is deemed "Relevant", otherwise your comment is marked "Not Relevant". While Caring Palms has 20 5-star reviews on Yelp, only seven of them are deemed "Relevant", and one has to go through another step to see the remaining 13.

Brian is now doing readings to anyone that wants to sit for one for $50 for up to one hour. Keep in mind, these are mediumship readings, not psychic readings.
