Scholarship Opportunity for Clarke Alumni
Any former student who has attended one of Clarke's campuses for at least one year may apply for a scholarship from the Yale Fund. The scholarship may be used for continuing education.

Read Across America Month
March is Read Across America Month presented by the National Education Association. Clarke is celebrating by sharing book recommendations that support early literacy for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Follow the hashtag #ClarkeBookClub and join the conversation by sharing your favorite children's book.

Clarke Philadelphia Alumna Donates American Girl Dolls
After learning American Girl released a doll with a hearing aid, 13-year old Clarke alumna Morgan thought it may be helpful for current Clarke students to have a toy with hearing technology. Morgan visited Clarke Philadelphia to generously donate four American Girl dolls and share her story with students!

Clarke Boston Students "Train" with MMA Pro Joe Lauzon
Students from Clarke Boston received a private training and tour from pro MMA fighter Joe Lauzon at his gym, Lauzon Mixed Martial Arts, in South Easton, MA. Joe's son, Joey, Clarke alumnus and kindergartner at a mainstream school, was also in attendance, helping to lead exercises and be a model for the younger children.

Landon Family Dedicates Book Sales to Clarke
Bruce Landon, the ex-goaltender and Hall of Fame executive with the Springfield Indians and Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League is dedicating his new book The Puck Stops Here: My (Not So) Minor League Life to his late daughter, Tammy Jacobson-Landon, grant writer and director of foundation relations at Clarke. All proceeds will go to the "I Can Hear You Now" Fund that was established in Tammy's honor to benefit Clarke.

  • Chili Cook-off Benefits Clarke: Clarke Jacksonville was the grateful recipient of proceeds from the 12th annual Charity Chili Cook-off hosted by the Jacksonville Bar Young Lawyers Section.

World Read Aloud Day at Clarke
Clarke participated in World Read Aloud Day on February 5, 2020 in partnership with LitWorld to promote the importance of sharing stories aloud. Reading aloud daily is one of the most important habits we can encourage in children, particularly those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Listening and Spoken Language Boot Camp in Florida
Families from across Florida came together in Winter Park for a Listening and Spoken Language Boot Camp designed to empower. From auditory and literacy workshops to hands-on language activities, families learned how Clarke can help build a future filled with listening and spoken language success.

Since 1867, Clarke has provided children who are deaf or hard of hearing with the education needed to succeed in a hearing world. Clarke has evolved to best meet the needs of children and families today though our infant-toddler, virtual tVISIT, preschool, K-8, mainstream and summer programs, as well as through our hearing center, comprehensive educational evaluations and research and professional development.
