Elementary hours are

8:30am - 3:15pm.

The building will open at 8:00am for students buying breakfast.

Students not eating breakfast may enter the building at 8:20am.

OCTOBER LUNCH MENU

OST Testing - 3rd Grade

Our 3rd grade students will have OST testing on October 26 & 27 (with makeups October 28 & 29).

Testing will take place in the mornings. Please make every effort to have your child present and on time. Routine appointments should be scheduled outside of this testing window if at all possible.

Oct. 16 – End of First Quarter/ Marking Period

Oct. 19 – Teacher Inservice, NO SCHOOL

Oct. 20 – 5th Grade PacerSpace trip, Davis, 11:45 – 2 pm

Oct. 21 - 5th Grade PacerSpace trip, Fulton, 11:45 – 2 pm

Oct. 22 - 5th Grade PacerSpace trip, Turnbull, 11:45 – 2 pm

Oct. 22 – Conger Literacy Night, 5:30 – 6:30pm

Oct. 23 - Grades release online (Powerschool)

Oct. 23 – PTO Fall Dance, 6 – 7:30 pm

Oct. 26- Oct. 30 – 3rd Grade OST Testing

Oct. 30 – Picture Retakes** For students who were absent on Picture Day, or request a retake. If you are getting a retake, you must send the original picture packet back. Your student will give it to the photographer for HR Imaging to print the same packet with the new image.

Oct. 30 – Costume Parade, 2:45 pm ** Watch for Dojo / teacher communications regarding classroom parties.

LITERACY NIGHT COMING SOON!

Gear up for a night of reading and fun! Conger Elementary is hosting Literacy Night on October 22nd, and this year’s theme is all about Sports. Join us for an exciting evening filled with sports-themed literacy games, hands-on activities, and friendly competition. Mark your calendars—we can't wait to see our Conger champions there!

Jacket Time !

As cooler autumn weather moves in, please send your child to school with a jacket or sweatshirt. We value play and exercise, so we go outdoors for recess every day, except during extreme weather conditions.

*It is also helpful to make sure that their jackets and clothing items are labeled with names in case they get left behind.

Portrait packages that were pre-ordered should be arriving soon.

GREEN BEAN COLLECTION

Once again, Conger Elementary will partner with Delaware County Agencies to Unite Against Hunger. We have been challenged to collect 500 cans of green beans by November 16th. The green beans will be a part of 650 Thanksgiving meals provided for local families in need.

We will be collecting November 2nd - 13th.

If Conger meets our goal of 500 cans, we will have a school-wide PAJAMA DAY!

PAINT THE PLOW

It's that time of year again. Our Conger Art classes will have the opportunity to paint a snow plow for the City of Delaware road crews. The finished plows will be displayed at the November 6th First Friday, and families will vote on their favorite from among the entries.

Please note, on days your student has Art class during the month of October, please send your student in clothes that may get paint on them, and not their best and favorite outfits, thank you.
