Looking ahead - Mark your calendars for Winter Parent/Teacher Conferences: Thursday February 6th & Thursday, February 13th, 3:30 - 7 PM. Watch for communication from your child's teacher regarding signing up for conferences. We would love to see all of our Conger families attend a conference.

Parent Communication

There are several ways to receive information about Conger and Delaware City Schools. Please check out the following:

Text Messages: Custodial parents / legal guardians can receive school updates via text message from our principal and DCS. You must opt in by texting the word YES to 67587 from your cell phone . The cell phone number must be attached to your student in PowerSchool to be valid.

PLEASE Make sure you have an e-mail that you check regularly on file with the school office. Many of our communications and notifications will be sent to you via e-mail.

If you believe you qualify for free or reduced meal benefits, please complete the meal application during the forms process. Parents may add money to lunch accounts through Payschools or by sending money with the student in a sealed envelope.

We will be offering Á la Carte items to students this year.

If you do not want your student purchasing Á la Carte items with their lunch funds, please email the kitchen staff:

Kindergarten Registration will open on

February 3 for 2025-2026

If your child will be 5 years old on or before August 1st, 2025, and lives in the Delaware City School District, you can start the registration process on the DCS Webpage. If you have questions about kindergarten enrollment, please call 740-833-1124.

Conger's Kindergarten Information Night will be held on Tuesday, April 8, from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.

School Delays & Closing Information

When inclement weather or other school emergencies necessitate school delays and closings, the district will use the automated calling system/ text messaging, the district website, and social media for direct contact with families. Typically, the decision to delay or close will be made by 5:45am. To receive calls and text messages from DCS, text he word "YES" to 67587. Please note that the text request must come from a number that is recognized in PowerSchool.

In addition, the following radio and TV stations will be notified of delays/closings:

Television - CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX

Radio - 97.9, & 95.1

When weather conditions necessitate a TWO - HOUR DELAY, our educational hours will be 10:30am - 3:15pm. Students will be permitted to enter the building at 10:20am.

There will be NO breakfast, no Compaction, or Strings classes on two-hour delay days. School Age Child Care (SACC) will also operate 2 hours later on a delay day. SACC is CLOSED when school is canceled due to inclement weather.
