My Dear Friends,

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect upon our blessings in life, and there is so much for which we are grateful at Dress for Success!

We are certainly grateful for all our volunteers, because with only three employees, we could never do all that we do without you! (I am extremely grateful for my two employees who are so dedicated, and excellent at what they do!).

We are grateful for the overwhelming support we receive from our community, whether it be in terms of financial support, clothing donations (which are currently on hold because we have literally run out of space!), referring women to our programs, or even just taking the time to read our newsletter!  

We are grateful for an economy that seems to be picking up and is therefore providing more women with job opportunities (that provide a living wage). While we are nowhere near our 2019 (i.e., pre-pandemic) volume, we are steadily seeing an increase in the number of women that are coming to us for interview or employment attire.

We are even seeing that uptick in Belle Glade, and for that we are extremely grateful! 

And, we are so very grateful for everyone who supported our most recent “Shop for Success” pop-up sale! We are grateful to the Related Group for providing such an amazing store for us, for all of our sponsors, for the committee and many volunteers that made it happen, and for the many shoppers who supported our efforts. A special shout out to our loyal VIP night attendees – you made the event not only profitable but so much fun!!

Join us for our annual Style for Hope luncheon fundraiser which will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the Kravis Center.

We will be honoring our 2022 Style Icon award recipient - Josie Natori

She is the embodiment of an empowered woman, having established her business 45 years ago after a rapid ascendancy in the world of finance where she had been the first female vice president of investment banking at Merrill Lynch in New York City.
GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity that will take place on November 30, 2021.
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
