My Dear Friends,

Happy New Year!

As Yogi Berra would say, it feels like déjà vu all over again! We certainly thought we would be on the other side of this pandemic by now. The good news, however, is that our team has adapted so well that we have been able to continue to focus on our mission of empowering women to achieve economic independence not only in our traditional ways, but also in new and better ways!

Our annual report will be out shortly. In the meantime, we’d like to share some of our key results with you.

  • We suited just over 400 women in 2021 (versus under 300 in 2020)
  • Twenty-six women graduated from our “Road to Success” job readiness program, and 65% of them found gainful employment within 30 days of completing the program
  • Over 90 women took advantage of our virtual career center to work on their resume, learn better ways to job search, and/or practice interviewing

We had a challenging year financially, falling just short of breaking even, however we anticipated this given that we were unable to hold our largest fundraiser, our “Style for Hope” luncheon, in 2021. The good news is that we have been planning for our 2022 luncheon for well over a year, and we believe it will be our best ever! We know that we all need to remain vigilant in the face of this pandemic, so we will be limiting the number of tickets sold to allow for greater social distancing. Our silent auction will be held virtually to avoid the crowded foyer, and we will be requiring that masks be worn when not actively eating or drinking. Please see below for additional details. Join us for our annual Style for Hope luncheon fundraiser which will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the Kravis Center.

We will be honoring our 2022 Style Icon award recipient - Josie Natori

Josie Natori is founder and CEO of The Natori Company, globally renowned for its luxury lingerie and chic loungewear and accessories. She is the embodiment of an empowered woman, having established her business 45 years ago after a rapid ascendancy in the world of finance where she had been the first female vice president of investment banking at Merrill Lynch in New York City.
Great Charity Challenge - We've been selected!
We've been selected to participate in this year's Great Charity Challenge, an exciting show jumping competition that gives our organization the chance to win anywhere from $15,000 to up to $100,000 in prize money!

Mark your calendars to cheer on our team on Saturday, February 5th at 6pm.

The event will be held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, 13500 South Shore Blvd. in Wellington.

Our annual volunteer appreciation holiday party was held on December 7th at the Beach Club in Lake Worth. Thank you to all our volunteers who were able to make it out to the party, we hope you had a great time! To those who were not able to make it, we missed you! Thank you again for all you do.

Our generous volunteers also brought toys to distribute to families in Belle Glade for the holidays!
