Florida CCIM Chapter Honors 13 New CCIM Designees

Headquartered in Chicago, CCIM Institute is one of the largest global commercial real estate networks. The Florida CCIM Chapter recognized new members who recently earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation, the global standard for professional achievement, from the CCIM Institute.

Nominate a Designee for the Hank Thompson Award

The award is given in recognition of a Chapter Designee Member in good standing (as defined in the CCIM Institute Bylaws and Chapter Policy and Procedures), other than the serving President and President-Elect, who has made a significant impact on the Chapter on a cumulative basis. Deadline for nominations is October 31, 2020.

Miami-Dade/Monroe District

In the first deal, Patsalos represented Wingate Tires in leasing 12,800 square feet at Prologis Beacon Industrial Park, located at 11013 NW 30th Street in Doral. The lease deal marks a relocation from Pembroke Pines and downsizing from their 15,150SF warehouse in Broward to a smaller 12,800-square-foot warehouse in Miami Dade to better serve their clients in both counties. George Pino and Brian Cabielles with State Street Realty represented the landlord in the deal.

Central District

Founding Principal, Amy Calandrino, CCIM of Beyond Commercial, a commercial real estate firm headquartered in Maitland, represented the buyer, Lemetra Investments, LLC in a $2.75 million purchase of a 47,468 square feet warehouse facility. The seller, United Partners Investments, Inc., was represented by David Murphy, MAI, SIOR, CCIM of CBRE.

A Letter from Terry Torres, FL CCIM President

The last few months, there have been many ups and downs with a few moments of clarity followed by moments of confusion. There is a lot of anxiety and nervousness due to the pandemic. It applies primarily to people of a certain age like me who have a tendency to live in the past. I have 3 daughters and 4 granddaughters and as I watch them mature, I realize that young people have no past and consequently don’t have that tendency. In the years to come, they will be at the forefront and serving as our leaders. Our youth does not fear technology as they were born with a computer in their hand and our world is nearly obsolete for them.
