Oculogica's SNAP test could end guesswork on the sideline - Forbes

Oculogica's SNAP, an FDA-cleared portable eye-tracking device, is set to transform sideline concussion diagnosis by introducing an objective physiological measure. Unlike subjective methods, SNAP records involuntary oculomotor metrics in approximately 90 seconds, leveraging how concussion disrupts cranial nerve-mediated gaze coordination. Boasting 90% sensitivity and 94% specificity, it integrates eye-tracking data with symptom input for a composite score.

MightyFly to launch medical drone deliveries in California

MightyFly has signed a $50 million deal with a California-based healthcare diagnostics firm to offer same-day deliveries of medical test kits using autonomous, hybrid-electric cargo freighters. Under the five-year contract, the delivery services will launch in California and Nevada before expanding nationwide. 

Cooler Heads Amma system recognized by Aetna as medically necessary for hair preservation during chemotherapy

Cooler Heads, maker of the innovative Amma scalp cooling system, announced that Aetna, one of the nation's largest health insurers, has recognized scalp cooling, including the Cooler Heads Amma System, as medically necessary for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced hair loss. 

Zenflow data supports the use of its Spring implant for BPH

Zenflow recently shared data from its BREEZE pivotal clinical trial supporting the use of its Spring implant for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Outcomes demonstrated the safety and efficacy of the Spring implant and delivery system, which received FDA approval last year.

Golden Seeds Chicago Chapter hosts TechChicago Week event

Earlier this week, the Chicago chapter of Golden Seeds hosted an event at TechChicago Week. The event, Women Investing / Investing in Women, highlighted our mission and the progress we've made over the past 20+ years. Attendees included angel investors, entrepreneurs, Golden Seeds members, and ecosystem partners. Chicago is the newest chapter of Golden Seeds and has already grown to 25 members since its launch in fall 2025.

At nearly 300 members, Golden Seeds’ angel investors, along with its funds, have invested more than $200 million in over 275 early-stage women-led companies. On September 4th and October 2nd, you’ll have the chance to learn how you can do the same.
