Avisi Technologies announces $10.7M capital raise to advance novel glaucoma device development

Avisi Technologies, Inc., an ophthalmic medical device company advancing novel, sight-saving technologies, announced the closing of $10.7M in new financing. The funding will support the company's pivotal clinical trial SAPPHIRE, and further development of Avisi's pipeline, which includes novel treatments addressing the entire spectrum of glaucomatous disease.

PolyGone Systems raises $4M seed round to scale microplastic monitoring and removal

PolyGone Systems, a Princeton University spinout focused on microplastic monitoring and removal, recently announced that it raised a $4 million Seed round. In parallel, PolyGone formally launched its microplastics analysis service, offering accurate and affordable water testing for the public, private companies, and government utilities, helping them better understand exposure risks and compliance needs.

Alcatraz partners with gun violence group on school, workplace safety

Alcatraz has joined the Active Shooter Prevention Project, a U.S.-based initiative that develops strategies to reduce risks in schools, workplaces, and public venues. The company’s biometric technology seeks to prevent unauthorized individuals from gaining access to workplaces and venues, turning entryways into intelligence access points using facial identity rather than access cards or ID badges, which can be stolen or lost.

Recent Investment Highlights

All businesses will soon be required to report their entire carbon footprint, necessitating downstream participation of their carriers and trucking partners for fleet emissions reporting. GreenIRR's platform provides granular emission insights down to the vehicle level, so companies can identify high-emission areas of operations, track progress towards emission reduction targets, and assess the effectiveness of implemented sustainable solutions.
