Publishing “Transformative” Agreements
Beginning in 2024, University Libraries announces “read and publish” transformative agreements established with two publishers: American Chemical Society (ACS) and Cambridge University Press. Both agreements offer authors the opportunity to publish on an open access (OA) platform for no cost. OA publishing allows your articles to be found and accessed from anywhere in the world.
For more information about the ACS agreement click here: https://acsopenscience.org/customers/usm/
Cambridge University Press has over 300 journals supporting OA publications.

The 3rd edition builds from a foundation of strong exercise sets that draws you into the narrative through writing that reflects an instructor's voice. Examples are stepped out and thoroughly annotated, and figures are designed carefully to work with the content. | |
Time to Submit Your Book Recommendations
All faculty, students, and staff--now is the time to submit your recommendations for books to be purchased to support your teaching, research, and learning. Please include as much information as possible--author, title, date, publisher, etc. and indicate your preference for print or e-books. Please note there are some publisher restrictions with e-books including the number of pages you can download (usually 60 pages or less). If this will impede your use of the book, then be sure to indicate you are requesting print. We need your recommendations asap. Print books ordered for COA are housed at Gunter Library at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory. Please email to: guntergcrl@usm.edu
