GCPS provides meals during Digital Learning Days (DLD)
|
During the school year, meals served through the School Nutrition Program (SNP) may be the only reliable source of food for some of our students. For that reason, GCPS has continued the federally funded meal program during DLD. The district started the
meal program on
March 16 to provide lunches for children ages 18 and younger, adding breakfasts on
April 7. Thanks to our
SNP and Transportation teams working together, GCPS has served more than 1.7 million meals... and that number keeps growing! (Community organizations stepped in to support families during Spring Break.) On weekdays (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.), the meals are
available for pick up at 67 schools, with delivery on bus routes serving the schools (11 a.m. to noon). GCPS plans to continue meal service through Friday, May 15.

Help for providing emotional support to your children

While families are together at home and focused on physical health, emotional health is just as important. GCPS has gathered these
