News from Hamilton High School
All parents should have received a message from superintendent Beutner with an update on the strike. Both parties, LAUSD and UTLA, have been negotiating all weekend but there is no word yet on the outcome. School will remain open tomorrow and throughout the duration of the strike.

We will continue to follow a modified schedule as outlined below:

  • All athletics and after school extracurricular activities, including adult school classes, West LA College classes and period 7, will be cancelled until further notification
  • Tuesday dismissal is 1:32 pm - all magnet program and special education buses will pick up at this time
  • All magnet program and special education buses will be on a 3:04pm dismissal the rest of the week

Please continue to stay tuned for all the district's updates. You can also call the hotline at 213 443-1300.

Thank you for your support.
Attendance Update
There have been many questions about attendance during the strike; the District has stated in written form that students who are absent during the strike will not be considered truant. Students will, however, be marked as "absent, unexcused" and you will see these absences on report cards. Absences will not, however, impact program participation or eligibility.
Campus Beautification
