News from Hamilton High School
Congratulations to Ken Turner for being selected 2018 Distinguished Educator by the Charter College of Education at Cal State University. We are very proud of his accomplishment.
We need every family to fill out the More than a Meal Lunch Application. Even if you think your student does not qualify for the program, please complete the application --our schoolwide Title 1 funding depends on it!!

There are three easy ways to complete the application:
  1. Click here to complete online
  2. Go to your PASSport Account to complete online
  3. Come to the Parent Center to complete a paper application or to get assistance with the online application

Make a Difference!

Parents-Now is the time to make a difference in the decision making at Hamilton High School. We need your participation! We encourage all parents to attend our School Site Council (SSC) and English Learner Advisory (ELAC) orientation meeting. Come learn how SSC and ELAC shape the future of Hami High, and how you can be a member of these important leadership councils.

When: Thursday, August 30th, 5:30 p.m.
Where: Parent Center (Room 109, Brown Hall)
Thursday, starting at 6 pm Come and experience what it is like traveling to each of your student's classes. This is an opportunity to meet each of your student's teachers and learn about their classes. Click here to download a schedule template to complete prior to Thursday. Class schedules can be found by signing in to Passport.

Annual Title I Parent Meeting
Please join us for an informative meeting about the federally funded Title I program. Services, funding, and student eligibility are only a few topics covered in the orientation. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend, especially parents of 9th grade and new students who may not be aware of the many ways our Title I program supports our Hami students.

Thursday, August 30th

Student Assemblies This Week
We will be holding student informational assemblies during the school day Tuesday and Wednesday to ensure that our students are well informed of school expectations, safety procedures, and school support.
Safety Reminder
BIRD scooters are considered “motorized vehicles.” As such, riders, by law and the conditions of use, must be over 18, have a valid drivers license and wear a helmet. Therefore students who are under 18 should not be using BIRD as a means of transportation to and from school. Anyone legally riding a BIRD to and from school needs to follow district policy: BIRD scooters are not to be brought or ridden on campus. Scooters also may not be parked in the school parking lot or on school walkways.
